A method of modelling projectile motion. The idea is that students use the formulae for horizontal and vertical motion (under the force of gravity) to make the model. The ruler direction gives the horizontal component of the distance travelled (distance = horizontal velocity x time). The lengths of the string are the vertical distances travelled (distance = gt^2/2)
