Many of us are keen to do our bit to protect the planet and have been influenced by people like David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg. (below left)

Sir David Frederick Attenborough born 8 May 1926) is an English broadcaster and natural historian.

Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg (born 3 January 2003) is a Swedish environmental activist who is internationally known for challenging world leaders to take immediate action against climate change.

We have seen awful impacts of climate change around the world most recently in Australia.

However sometimes it’s not easy to work out what to do for the best.

Professor Averil MacDonald’s talk tested our knowledge of what the real issues are, identifying the myths and the facts – ranging from banning plastic to buying electric cars – and helped us to work out what we could or should not do to make a difference.
