For the second year Mrs Hare (who took the pictures which explains why she isn’t in any of them) hosted a lunch for year 11 girls to give them information about A level physics and how physics could be useful to their future careers.
We would like to thank Ms Manchi Chung at the Institute of Physics for providing the free gifts that we were able to give each student.
The pictures below show the table before the girls arrived. The food was brilliantly supplied by Emma and her team who run the school canteen.
Also present was Mrs Haddow, who was able to give the girls information about engineering as she was an engineer before becoming a teacher, and Mrs Rahman who teaches the Physics part of the triple GCSE.
I think we gave the girls lots of things to think about. They were particularly impressed with how physics is so important in the field of medicine.
